Despite reports last month that Facebook would pull out the get-rich-quick ads, site members report that the ads still display on their profile pages.
A quick check today showed for example this ad, Make $500 Daily Online, which when clicked leads to a so-called “got green” website. In this instance, the ad is linked to Jim’s Success Story one-page blog. Another ad is shown below which is also linked to the same Jim’s Success Story site.
Jim’s Success Story page is no different from the other “got green” pages we have seen during the last three weeks. There is no mistaking that the sites are all part of one big group. Same layout, same color scheme, same story, same “Google check”. They all have the same story of the site owner / blogger who lost his job and how he discovered the quick and easy way to make thousands of dollars online — by simply posting Google links.
The ads – complete with testimonials which according to reports are bogus – promise Facebook users they too could make thousands of dollars a month if they follow the site owner / blogger system which is “revealed” in a starter kit.

Before the users receive the kit, they need to sign up and pay the US$1.95 sign-up fee to cover shipping charges for the Google Money System Starter Kit which was supposed to be sent to the user.
The ads further instruct users that once the kit arrives, the user set up his/her Google account to start posting links with Google tracking the user’s earnings.
The ads promise that Google will send out the user’s first check in 48 hours. Or the user can opt to have his/her earnings wired directly into his/her checking account with the first checks about $500 to $1,500 a week.
To sign up, people are required to submit personal details including their credit card information to pay the $1.95 fee.
And that’s where the trouble starts — once the credit card details of the user are supplied to the scammers.
We wonder why these ads have not been pulled out yet.
