International telecommunications training program in Melbourne

For the first time, senior representatives from regulatory agencies in Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan and the Republic of Korea will attend and present at this year’s Australian Communications and Media Authority/International Telecommunication Union (ITU) International Training Program.

Chris Chapman, Chairman of the ACMA, and Dr Eun-Ju Kim, Head of the ITU Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, launched the week long program in Melbourne this morning.

‘Now in its 11th year, this is the most ambitious International Training Program to be put together by the ACMA, and I am delighted that through our good working relationships with the ITU and the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy and their continued support, the program will again provide an excellent opportunity to engage with our international regulatory and government colleagues,’ Mr Chapman said.
